It was on in the 70's I think, starring David Carridine maybe, he was known as "grasshopper" The name of the show is drivin' me nuts. Thanks.

Kung Fu, it was originally pitched and developed by Bruce Lee, but the studio felt that he looked too ethnic, and he was replaced by David Carradine, brother to Kieth(mostly westerns) and Robert(Revenge of the Nerds)as Kwai Chang Caine, I know I butchered the spelling. It was set in the late 1800's

In the mid 90's, the summer or two before UPN and WB were launched, a syndicated spin off, titled "Kung Fu: The Legend Continues" aired in syndication and also starred Carridine now as the Grandson of the Caine character he played in the 70's, except the new series was set in modern times
