You know the saying....there is a fine line between love and hate. Love and hate are both very strong feelings, I think the bottom line is that anyone who can make you have feelings that strong, either love or hate, is obviously someone who has a great impact on your life in some manner.

As for depression, I suppose if it is anger turned inwards it's the same thing, you are dealing with strong feelings within yourself.

Hope this helps, now I'm slightly confused, too!! I guess an easier way to live would be emotionless, but that wouldn't be very fun or exciting, would it??

If you experience two emotions at the same time it results in anxiety and tension resulting in experiencing neither.

"depression is anger turned inwards" A popular misconception. Before depression becomes clinical it is caused by being deprived of a fixation we can't have. Anger is just one way of getting things. The same logic would say that depression is crying, manipulation, anger or exploitation turned inward.
I get the feeling that in some circles all emotion is under a general heading of "anger". Like there are only two emotions: Fight and Flight.

Love and Hate are 2 sides of the same coin. But depression and anger??? Wow!! Well I know that depression IS ANGER TURNED INWARD!!!!! I DO KNOW THAT ONE. If you are depressed you are in the right category and you shouldn't give up. There are some very smart people here and they want to help you or they wouldn't be here. Good Luck!! @8-)

I don't know if I would use the term hate but yes, I have been in that situation. A very good friend who lives some distance away, we have a difficult time meeting. Often I feel frustrated, angry, perhaps hateful when this happens yet when we do meet all is forgotten.
Any help?

If you are a woman, then I would say this is possible. If you are a man, then no, it is not possible. Women are not sane/rational because of their ester cycle. It is not their fault that hormone levels rise and fall causing their brains to remain in a state of constant agitation. The sad thing is that they act based on the tide of emotions that they suffer from and their actions can leave a swath of destruction that the victims never deserved.
