What?!?! Your parents killed your dog because it was too tired?? Umm... I say get the hell out of there before you're next! No, really! I would tell someone that;s definately not right or normal. They shouldn't of killed the dog for such a stupid reason. No offense, but your parents sound nuts!

What do you mean they killed your dog?When a dog gets old sometimes they have to be put to sleep(euthanized) by the veterinarian,but this cost money your parents may not have.Iam really sorry this happened to you,its hard enough to loose your pet but to know that your parents killed it,you must be going thru alot and it is understandable you would want to talk to your friend about it.Iam sorry that your on restriction and I really advise you talk to a teacher or counselor at your school that you trust or some adult that you can confide in.You did nothing wrong,they did and their upset because they are in the wrong and they know it.

You are grounded for 5 years just for telling your friend that your parents killed your dog. It really depends on whether she is a trustworthy friend. Your parents shouldn't have done that themselves. They should have taken it to a vet and had it done. 5 years seems a little much but what your parents did was wrong.

well they didnt say you cant tell ur friend that they killed ur dog. and even if u complained to ur friend and u were mad, why do ur parents think its something bad to let ur friends be a part of your life?? i think its normal for me and my best friend to know what type of toilet paper each other parents use. if i were u id wait a couple more days and then talk to my parents again. and anyway i dont think they will keep u grounded for 5 years. but you know them better and if they did this before (!!) i would not waste my life in my room. sneak out!

First, hit your parents over the head with your dead dog.
Next, steal a new dog - but give it some tranquilizers so it will appear tired too.
Call Dr. Phil and have him explain to your parents that ALL dogs are tired.
Call you Grandma, and have her ground your parents for SIX years.
Then eat some Pringles.

You shouldn't be grounded you SHOULD be charged with a felony for torturing an animal (proved in link below) but unfortnatly, you are not charged with anything because of the stupid gov't.

say sorry and you didn't mean it, and make your parents a handmade gift and tell them that you called your friend because you were too sad and didn't have anyone to talk to so you called her/him .oh and about your dog, get a new one!

i understand why they grounded you they probobly thought your friends mom or dad would call the animal concern or whatever their called because theyshould have taken it to the vet or given it up or sold him. but five years? woah....
