I don't want to sound like a pervert or anything but isn't there some sort of dark, erotic aura about vampires?

Not just you. Vampires have in a way conquered death, and death holds an ultimate fascination for us mortal humans. Also, drinking someone's lifeblood is about as intimate as it gets.

That is true for some guys and such. I sorta like the whole idea of eroticism vampirism. But I'm not only settled on that. But yeah vampires are sexy. Mainly due to their clothes and attitudes. Also the biting is somewhat arousing. Plus with the whole blood thing, they get off on the taste and feeling it provides them. Like it feels like a charge of life energy.

I am a vampire, what is called a psi-vamp. I feed off of life energy. Vampires who drink blood are called sanguinarians. Whether by psi energy or blood, each vampire is feeding off of the donor's life energy. The reason that vampires have an alluring aura is to attract prey. Vampires prey on humanity, and an off-putting predator is a hungry predator.

well...the vampires are kinda strange...and when it is about something strange...freaky...the people want to know a lot more about that.the myths about vampires are many...but i think that my country...Romania has the most...in Transylvania(a Romanian region) is a castle named Bran were it is said that there lived a vampires who was very bloody. the vampires,u're right.have an erotic aura,not only 4 u,but for a lot of people,that are interested on discovering more and more about them...

Yup. I liked looking at Kravin from the movie Underworld1-2 too bad he got decapitated and turned out to be a real jerk. But it's fun to imagine. Also vampires in dreams usuraly have to do with sex. So it's understandable for u and me to think of them that way.

vampires are very romantic and sexy, but I think they lose the urge for sex and are only satisfied by feeding, but to answer your question, they turn me on, especially Gary Oldmans portrayal in Bram Stokers Dracula.
