hi...i have two rabbits in my apartment. one of them never seems to sleep; even when he's resting, his eyes are open and he's on alert all the time. the other rabbit sleeps heavily with her eyes closed. on occasion, i've seen her lying down and it looks like she's sleeping, but her eyes were open...just kind of glazed-looking, almost like she was dead. But when she heard me enter the room, she got up right away. so maybe it's possible that some rabbits sleep with their eyes open. I think the norm is that they sleep with their eyes shut, though.

It simply depends on their preference. I have two rabbits; one sleeps with its eyes closed and one sleeps with them wide open. I always get scared because he looks dead laying there with wide eyes!

I once had a boyfriend that did that! i did not imagine it become conceivable notwithstanding that is. no longer each and every of the time, yet really some cases I talked about him drowsing that way and it become completely creepy! I shook him to make effective he become nonetheless alive.

I am sure rabbits sleep with their eyes closed.I asked my sister who raises them and she says they close their eyes.
