You cannot do this from your laptop, you need to go onto your friends laptop, on the main msn window, that the one where you type in your email address and password and press signin there is a box that says "Sign Me in automatically", you need to untick this, you also need to untick "Remember my password". All of this has to be done on your friends laptop!! If it automatically signs you in then just sign out so you get onto the main window and untick the 2 boxes from there!!

she should be able to log out on it next time it comes up (instead of just closing the window). think you can also click something to stop it logging in automatically it usually pops up when you close. otherwise if she wants it off altogether you can click the start button go to control panel and click on add/remove programs then take the messenger off altogether

Nope, I'm on my laptop right now and I always download the latest msn versions and I haven't got a virus yet.

Yes, but it has to be done on your old flatmates laptop. open messenger. go to tools, then options then the general tap, and unclick the box that says allow automatic sign in!

She needs to put her name and password into the Log-in and then it log-in to her account. When you set it up you set it to remember your name and password, that what it doing.
