and is it low med or high specs. also if i brought a pc with this card in and it wasn't good enough for my needs what would be the likely hood of being able to upgrade to a high end or even a very high end card, i'm asking because the 2 pc's i've brought both have had limits on how far i can upgrade them the 1st because it had pci not pci-e and the second uses low profile cards and i can't find anywhere that sells them, the pc i'm looking at has the following specs.
Intel Pentium D 950 Processor
3.0GHz, 800MHz FSB, 4MB Cache
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
2GB DDR RAM
400GB Hard Disk Drive
Multi-Format Dual Layer DVD RW Drive
DVD-ROM Drive
256MB nVidia Geforce 7300GS Graphics
can anyone tell me from this what limits it would have from this, thanks in advance:o)

i think the only reason you can only use low-profile cards is because your computer is a slim tower -
get a new case and your problem is solved immediately
and sorry to say bub but the 7300GS is not one of the best out there - it can probably play any game at the lowest settings, espcially with a computer like yours

cheers

The 7300GS and Radeon X550 are roughly the same in specs, so you will not notice any improvements. The 7300GS can come in PCI Express or AGP. PCI Express has a lot of room for upgrade, but AGP is limited, so you should check that out. Lastly, I would look at other options in the processor area, the Pentium D 950 costs more than the low end Core 2 Duos, but the Core 2 Duos are far superior.

Depends on what games you want to run, 7300gs is at about med specs, and since you have a pci-e slot you can upgrade to any other pci-e card you want as long as you have a powerful enough power supply..
