here's what i did--i saved up some money, about $100 and made an appointment at Sephora, a store that sells make up from all of the top lines, and is at malls around the country. the makeup artist did my full makeup, helped me pick a great foundation that really matches and i picked up a few other items, like cream eye liner, a nice bronzer and some brushes.
if you don't have sephora pick a favorite makeup counter at a department store or MAC (if you have that store). its these makeup artists jobs to make you look good and they will. i think foundation is the one thing you shouldn't skimp on (and should get help buying, at least the first time)--but you don't have to spend $50 either. mine is $20 for an ounce and i don't use it every day. also, look into a foundation primer. i used to use neutrogena moisterizer before foundation but a couple times, when it was really dry outside, the foundation seemed to "shred" on my skin like a tissue. i use the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer, which I splurged on while on vacation, but you can get smaller, cheaper ones, like the 1/2 ounce Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer.

I wouldn't put jsut anything on your face. Your face is very delicate. IT is the first thing someone sees when they look at you. Do some reseach on the internet on different types of products and see if you can find what coverage you need. Mary Kay has a great website to help find your colors, and type of coverage you need. You could also go a department store at a local mall. The women there can help you find what is best for you. It sounds like you need a full coverage, foundation with powder. Hope this help. I wouldn't recommend going to a drug store and picking out anything. Have someone help you who is trained in this type of thing. The department store will help you for free!

Try Jane Iredale. It works great, I found out about it when doing work with ladies who had severe scarring and even burns on their face and neck. It is made with minerals and has uv blockers as well. I have known about this for over 7 years and I can tell you it is not the crap you see on QVC or the informercials. It is okay to buy eyeshadow and lipgloss at drugstore but, foundations and creams should always be purchased from someone else.

you should buy dream matte mousse..you don't need a foundation sponge..it feels weightless and it makes skin tone unbelievable! then i would use some physicians formula translucent powder...it keeps your make up staying on all day and it's applied with a little puff which feels so nice and makes skin veryy smooth..find the right coloring for you and your skin should look flawless! if you need concealer..i sugges CG with the blue top..its a basic concealer thats bound to cover anything you don't want seen apply that after foundation but before powder

I use Affordable Mineral Makeup. It is not sold in drugstores but you can use the link in resources to purchase it.
It brings out your natural beauty while minimizing any flaws or wrinkles. It is multi-purpose and very versatile. Affordable Mineral Makeup is micro-formulated using the highest quality minerals and botanicals; being naturally preservative and irritant-free it is also weightless and incredibly long-wearing. It does not clog pores and it has a naturally high SPF. It helps to calm and soothe irritated skin with its zinc content, and is water resistant. Providing excellent coverage.

Well, use light foundation so it doesn't look like you are trying too hard. And a little powder will cover the blemish and make your skin more radiant.
