Just need an awnser, i think i got this wrong on the test, but if you would like to explain, your more than welcome.

A Plane travels due north at 200 km/h
The plane is being affected by wind traveling 50 km/h from west to east. How fast is the plane going relavtive to the ground. I said about 219. Thanx

I could be wrong on this, but because north is perpendicular to the wind (a westerly wind), you can use the Pythagorean Theorem to determine this answer. SQRT(200^2+50^2) = 206.16 km/hour relative to the ground, moving in a northeast direction (14 degrees east of due north).
