Yes you can still wash your car. The water will not get inside your car. Also you may need to replace the whole windshield. It will cost about $125.00.

Be carefil with washing.. The more water that gets trapped in that tiny crack, the worse it will get. It will more than likely spread all the way across the windshield, and water getting trapped in teh crack only helps speed the process up; especially if temperatures drop below freezing.
I would, as everyone else states, contact your insurance agency to see what they can do, and if nothing, unfortunately you will need a new windshield, which with installation will put you out a few hundred bucks...
good luck!

Im not sure about the repair job, you should probably just get a new windshield. As far as washing it, you dont have to worry abuot water leaking in, but you should be careful if you live in a cold weather climate, the quick change in temperatures from hot to cold or vice versa, caused by hot water in a car wash and then driving out into the cold, could cause your windshield to crack further. I have actually watched this happen in vehicles several times.

There are kits you can get to seal up a crack like that. It creats a vacuum in the "hole" and injects a fluid that will seal it. But since it is in your line of vision, most places will recomend replacing the glass. The kits aren't that expensive so you can try it yourself, just follow the instructions on the kit. If the crack gets worse, then replace the glass (your insurance will probably pay for it) You can wash the car, but, if water can get inside the crack and there is a risk of freezing, then it will make the crack worse.

You might call your insurance agent and see what they recommend you doing. Most insurance policies will pay 100% on crack in a windshield to be repaired or if it need to be replaced, they can probably recommend a repair shop. The usual deducable on windshield replacement is about $50.

You need a new windshield, do you have comprehensive ins....you will still have to pay deductible even if you do , if not you are in for the cost of a new windshield, they are right not to repair it, not trying to scare you but they can "blow in" and that sounds like a pretty big crack...get it repaced, it is for your own good, I know iits expensive but it just isn't' safe with it the way it is...good luck.

Call your insurance company and they will pay most of it .if you have a deductable you will have to pay that. The deductable can be any amount ask your insurance company how much it is they will tell you. Nobody can refuse to fix your windshield if you are paying them. good luck yes you can wash your car it wont leak. I had the same problem.

The only way round it is to have a new windshield. It would not be allowed to be repaired as the damage is in your field of vision. As regards to washing it.There is a good chance that if you do,water will get in.You will even find that when it rains, condensation will appear.

water wont come in, but if it is in your line of vision, you only have the option of replacing the glass or putting up with it.
when they repair it, they often either cut out a hole in the window, and glue in a new piece or put some kind of crap on it that keeps it from cracking farther.
sorry to inform you of that, but i had one repaired, then told them just to replace it after I seen it.
