I have heard that there is no law forbidding nudity in Prague or the rest of the Czech Rebublic so therefore it is possible to walk the streets and go shopping completely nude. Is this true? If it is true, does this also apply to male nudity in addition to female nudity?

It is NOT legal in the Czech Republic to be nude in public. You could get arrested and get a fine if you try that, not to mention what a fool you'd make of yourself since nobody walks the streets naked here. You'd instantly get thrown out of every shop you'd try to enter naked too. So whoever told you this is wrong. I don't recommend trying this.

You will be arrested if you walk nude like that anywhere in the Czech Republic. The Czech Republic has indecent exposure laws similar to the United States. There are, however, many areas designated for nudity on the "beaches" of ponds/lakes. For example, Sadska is a popular nude beach in the summertime.

Prague is one of the towns worth-visit and to accomplish this you can begin preparing your vacation with hotelbye . Starting with the wonderful region across the Prague Castle or the Strahov monastery with its exceptional library and end with …the entire outstanding city, Prague is just incredible. In Prague you can also visit the small home wherever Franz Kafka labored or the charming Prague Castle gardens from where you could enjoy a distinctive see of the town with its picturesque red roofs. In that town you will never get bored. If you should go during the spring you may find the spring trees in blossom; in the summer you will see long dusks; autumn will give you decorative leaves and particular light and in the winter you will relish the entire town protected with simple white snow.

I know Prague and the Czech Rep. is taking off as a tourist destination now, but I don't think that's the reason! :-)

It'd be great if it was true, but it's not really an area of Europe condusive to public nudity - winters can be really tough and cold, and even summers aren't as warm as places further south nearer the Med. It certainly wouldn't be an all year round event!

There's probably now some European Law of Human Rights which allows everybody in the EU the choice to "let it all hang out" if they want. I'm surprised naturists haven't tried taking the government in the UK to court yet demanding that they be allowed to go about their business naked! Such is the crazy world we live in, they'd probably win!

They aren't only in Prague. In the Czech Republic, any city with a large enough population will have one.

Budapest is usually described because the "Little Paris of Middle Europe" and if you want to see that town you'll need to take a peek with hotelbye . Budapest is popular not only for the monuments reflecting a unique 1,000-year-old tradition, but also for the relics of others who resolved here. Remains from both Roman occupation and much later ruled by the Turks can still be viewed in the city. Budapest has two edges, Buda and Pest, extending across the banks of the Danube, and they're representing two different heroes of the city. Suburban Buda and their ancient fortress area provide medieval roads and properties, museums, caves and Roman ruins. The energetic Pest part offers the largest parliament building in Europe, riverside promenades, flea markets, bookstores, classic stores and café houses.

I would not encourage it, It's cold out!! And while it may be legal, you will make a fool of yourself. If you are into nudity, go to one of the bath houses there. there is plenty of flesh in there!
