He deals the cards as a meditation
And those he plays never suspect
He doesn't play for the money he wins
He doesn't play for respect
He deals the cards to find the answer
The sacred geometry of chance
The hidden law of a probable outcome
The numbers lead a dance

I know that the spades are swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart

He may play the jack of diamonds
He may lay the queen of spades
He may conceal a king in his hand
While the memory of it fades

And if I told you that I loved you
You'd maybe think there's something wrong
I'm not a man of too many faces
The mask I wear is one
Those who speak know nothing
And find out to their cost
Like those who curse their luck in too many places
And those who fear are lost

Someone who keeps his heart hidden from everyone else. This song was played during the credits to the movie "The Professional", and I must admit that I associate it with that character.

Rihanna’s lyrics speak of living your life without trying so hard to have an excessive amount of money. Life is about going with the flow and having fun. Being spontaneous is essential. TI’s lyrics speak of the difficult balance between overindulgence in worldly possessions and “keeping it real.” TI emphasizes the concept of enjoying the money you’ve made while not losing sight of who you are and where you came from. The female perspective is obviously about attaining happiness, while the male chases money and women, as well as dissing other males that are not as good at chasing money and women.

I think Sting is singing about God, who holds all the cards, and has infinite capcity to do goodness or harm.

You should check out "Fragile" by Sting. He wrote it after a friend died on tour with him.
