I am a person who dreams a lot. And I enjoy my dreams a lot. They are good dreams, sometimes I sense they tell me about the future -- if I decode it well.. However, I noticed that there was a time I literally stopped dreaming. This was when I was dating this particular guy... sleep was just deep sleep. No wandering mind... when we broke up, I got the dreams back... why is that so? Ive had boyfriends before and after him and my dreams were always part of me... but when that guy and I were together... I just dont understand why I didnt have a single dream!

You did not stop having dreams...you stopped remembering them. Sleep research has shown that we are not supposed to remember our dreams. We dream during our REM cycle...remembering what you dream about means that the deep sleep in which you should be is being interrupted. This suggests some type of sleep disorder. Perhaps this guy made you feel more secure thus putting your symptoms at bay temporarily. If I were you I would look into having a sleep study done. After all, you shouldn't need a man to get a good night's sleep.

I have always dreamed also. Until I married my husband, that is. I get in such a deep sleep that I no longer dream. I have no worries, and my life is no longer stressful. I do start dreaming again when he deploys because I worry so much and don't have him there for comfort. But that is just my experience.

If you drink or smoke weed before bed then it seems like you dream less. Were you and that guy partying alot?
