SAD lights are very expensive and not readily available to everyone. They are great if you are a shut in or live in a agency group home. You spend 20 minutes a day in front of one and it helps to get rid of winter blues.
If possible the best way is to book a holiday for a week to a warm place go south or start taking up some winter sports that you can try to adapt to.
