One of the great questions of all time. It's akin to "What is the meaning of life?"
Part of the human condition is the innate desire to understand. As long as there are questions to answer, we will continue to live our lives. How do I find the perfect mate? Can I become the president of this company? Will I ever meet my real father? Is the universe finite?
From that standpoint, the irony of your question is that it answers itself. We live because we have questions to answer.
If we ever learn the real answer to your question and all others, the point of existing in a physical sense will be moot.

There are questions which has no answer.This could be termed as one such question in the common man's parlance.It is one of the mystery of nature and the possible explanations are based on Faith and Divine scripts.All these may not stand scrutiny of an atheist.
Let us believe that the Creator has given various life span for various living beings in the world we know. When that comes to an end we call it as death.In Hindu religion it is mentioned that your body is only discarded and Soul (life) has no death.You are born as human being to obtain salvation.Once you attained salvation there is no chance of getting into human life again.May be,this is the reason we live.

We live because living is " Dharma " of every living creatures.Once an organism is born, it tends to live and propagate itself.Since we humans have evolved as Conscious beings, we are able to forsee the eventual end or death of any living organism.This reasoning at times make us forget our primordial instinct to go on living.We should not allow such doubts of Reason or Intellect to conclude the worthlessness of life.It is worth to live as much as we can.Death as told by our Lord Krishna to Arjun is preordained [ for all living creatures].Since it is not in our hands, we should stop worrying about it.Instead, we should embrace life with both our hands.

It's because we are here for a reason.To do something that immortalises us.Some people do that while some die in mediocrity and obscurity.Like we have a saying in oriya(my mother language), 'life is not measured by the years lived but by the deeds done'.

All of us are not planning to "die" in the sense of ceasing to exist. Our bodies are temporary, our souls are not. What we do in this life determines where we each will "live" in eternity.

its a cycle like for all living creatures. You are reproduced, you reproduce and die. All others are meaningless. The religion, wealth, possession in life, the struggle to be top, all these makes no sense at all. Just take what comes to you and be happy till you die.

To make our life memorable for others ,to leave something which will brighten the spirit of others who live. Aren't we lucky to have had our favourite granny, author,leader or great personalities whose words and deeds and memories guide us?Just because we are going to die oneday should not make one die everyday. We live to enjoy this life make this earth enjoyable for others by our life.

The question starts with the fact that we are born because our Parents made love one day/night.And it was not our descision.
Similarly we are going to die one day and we would not know when and how.
The only choice we have is to live well.

Why are you worried and bothered about death when you are alive. Be optimistic. Live happily. Help others and yourself. DO something which will make yourself and your parents proud.Thank god for giving you a life to do your will. Arent these much reasons enough for you to lead a healthy life?

may be because it is only once we live, we try to live and nt just exist.
and we do not think of the day we r gonna die but think of hw we r gonna make a mark while we live in this world....
because we live only once...and we may nt pass this way again?
