What is success? You have to figure out how you define it before you can attain it and that is individual...it's not about keeping up with the Joneses; it's about finding where you belong. The first step is figuring out why you failed. Sometimes it is for reasons that are truly out of our control, but I feel that more often we sabotage ourselves because we don't want to be where we are. The fact is this...Failure in life is absolutely INEVITABLE. We all fail. That is not what separates the proverbial men from the boys. What does tell which category you fall into is how you deal with failure...what have you learned? How can you apply those lessons to your future? The successes in this world are not those who "never fail"...they're just really good liars. The successes in life are those who find the inner strength to pick themselves up, dust themselves off and start again. Failure does not have to be a negative...as long as you are learning about yourself and how you fit into the world around you and can make decisions on how to apply what you've learned success will come your way...

"I can accept failure. Everybody fails at something. But I can't accept not trying." Michael Jordan, after embarrassing himself in his attempt to be a baseball player.

He turned out ok. Just analyse whatever you did or didn't do and move on. You're no different than all the rest of us, but I think you may take setbacks harsher. Losing ain't nothing, winning is everything.
