God picked her to be the mother of Jesus, so I don't think he would approve of her having an abortion. And what career? That was her career - the virgin Mary, though how could she be a virgin and have a child I'm never gonna get. She was a married woman and her husband had full right to have sex with her - even while she was pregnant with Jesus, nothing wrong with that. Christianity wants to make everything so holy and sacred, it's really pathetic.
And to those who say there weren't abortions in those times... please, don't be naive. They might not have been surgical abortions, but they were there. I'm sure women knew what to do when they didn't want to keep their babies. Get real!

This is a crazy question because I'm about to have an abortion (and I don't feel good about it). God is supposed to be the only thing that gives and takes life. I don't think God would have been ok with his son Jesus being aborted... geez

to further her career in what, prostitution?
and as a matter of fact, abortion goes back to ancient times, when humans would mix juices of several plants in order to put them inside the woman to terminate pregnancy. There were also other varieties of ancient abortions, but that is the only one I can recall at the moment.

Women had no careers then. And to those who said that there were no abortions then- abortions were very common in ancient Greece and Rome, both herbal and surgical.

Not to be rude, but that shouldn't even be a question, because back then there were no abortions and that was a sacred thing?

Have you nothing else to do on a Saturday but ask stupid questions? Could you not go and do something useful like LEARN TO SPELL?

I don't think so. But there are instances where an abortion is justifiable (as in the case of rape or some such).
