She's been in prison for a couple of years, and we just had a really big fight over the holidays. We've only talked a couple of times this year. I think that we're working things out.

She's only going to be in prison for 10 more years.

Putting your feelings down on paper is one of the easiest things to do. Everything comes pouring out. Just start writing and your hand, heart and mind will do the rest. People please don't judge others. It does not matter what his wife is in jail for. He is the one who choose to be with her, not us. I'm pretty sure he's heard all the reasons why he should not be with her, but he's still with her after a couple of years, so that would be old news for him. You also have to remember that people make stupid mistakes and hopefully they learn from them. I have a friend who is in the same situation like him and her husband was in the wrong place at the wrong time. She writes him every day and see him twice a week. He's been in jail for 5 years and 16 more to go. He's innocent and she knows this, that's why she is still with him. Good luck with that.

I don't understand how a couple can have a real relationship under those conditions. That's a very long time to be apart. I think you need to follow your heart. That will never lead you wrong.

yes write her if u think u can help things out, but 10 yrs is a long time to wait on anyone, and it is up to u hat u want to do but sometimes things happen that we have no control over, and it just isn't possible to wait and give up, our lives, and wait on someone who chose to do things.

If you truly love her, you will wait. Remember when you were married? "The vow you took "till death do us part" is still valid.
