Stay in the present moment, practice greatfulness, be aware and realize that nothing is permanent and learn to be okay with that.

Realize that you are okay regardless of the outcome of a situation. It does not need to go the way you'd like it to go. It'll all be okay. Sit back and observe that happening sometimes. That can help with detachment as well.

the way i learned to detatch was by having life whip the crap outta me until i stopped caring, then retrained myself to be happy.
I'm actually doing quite well now and rarely take anything personally.
