tell her something more shocking...

Obviously your best friend trusts you and feels comfortable enough with you to share this information with you, whatever it may be. If it is something illegal, then make sure to tell the proper people about it, if it is not, and is something hard to handle, take some time to think about it, and ask yourself why it is that it bothers you. No matter what this person has told you, they are still the same person as before they told you, and are still your best friend. Talk with them about how it makes you feel, and depending on what it is, perhaps in time you will adjust to it. If it is something you are morrally against, then let them know, but dont hold judgement against them for it.

More information will help.
If it doesn't affect you, then calm down, and not let it affect you.
If it makes you wonder who your friend truly is, just separate yourself from her for a bit, and figure that out for yourself.
People make choices, it's best not to judge...
Seriously, it is hard to answer this question, as she could have told you something about your brother and you need to do something about it. Or she could have told you that she had a threesome last night. Or she could have told you that she saw your boyfriend with another chick.
All have different outcomes...

Take a chill pill and think about what your friend has told you and try to make sense out of it and then talk to your friend about it some more, but only after you have stopped freaking out

Get over the shock. Then be the best friend that you have always been to her

Obviously, it depends on what it is....And what you consider 'shocking'. It someone is in harms way (including your best friend) then speak to an adult that you trust. Either the adult will calm your hysteria, &/or will offer a helpful solution.

Take a chill pill! Then, talk to her about it, or avoid her or egg her house (depending on what was so shocking)
