El Salvador is an incredible place to visit because in a small amount of land you find such a diverse landscape. Head over to the famous volcanos, such as el izalco or Chaparrastique. If you go to my native Chalatenango you will find cool sites such as "El Pital" The highest point in El Salvador. You can find many lakes and rivers, my favorite rivers being el Rio Lempa and the Rio Grande. Definitely visit there. There are many volcanic Calderas, which are extremely deep so no apt for swimmers but great for incredible boat tours. Additionally there are many water themed parks throughout the country. Try to get a tour into Bosque el Impossible, an amazing and incredible forest full of great animals and such. If you are historically adventurous and want to visit the ancient ruins of the Natives Living there, please don't Hesitate to visit el Tazumal, which has awesome pyramids of the ancient mayans and joya el ceren Which they call the New Pompeii because a Volcanic Flow preserved everything there. For Historical Monuments, most departments have awesome cathedrals (noticeably Santa Ana), San Salvador and San Miguel have historic Theatres. The Capital San Salvador has the beautiful Presidencial Palace, and also one of the most iconic symbols of El Salvador. The Divine Saviour of the World statue. You have to go see a soccer (football) Game. The National Team plays in Estadio Cuscatlan in San Salvador, by far the biggest stadium in El Salvador. Here are local league teams, where they are from, and playing field CD Aguila - San Miguel - Juan Francisco Barraza stadium CD FAS - Santa Ana - Oscar Quiteno CD Chalatenango - chalatenango - Gregorio Martinez CD Alianza - San Salvador - Estadio Cuscatlan.
