Short skirts are sexy and attractive. Some girls are just too shy or worry about giving off the wrong impression to guys (although, as I'm sure you've noticed, guys tend to like it!)
You don't say how old you are, but chances are in a year or twos time your friends will shorten their skirts too, and you can claim that you started the trend.
In the mean time, you might want to play it down by wearing boots instead of sandals to limit the amount of leg on show, or cool tights (will keep your legs warm too!). But overall, dress for yourself, not for your female friends. I'm sure you look gorgeous and any negative comments are just jealousy! x

If your friends disagree with you wearing short skirts, you should probably add the use of leggings. You know, the new ones. Add those with your short skirts, add flats, with a cute top, and you're raring to go!

Well...they probably think you're a bit of a slut and you are drawing a lot of attention to yourself from guys so maybe they're right to warn you. Watch you don't make a name for yourself as the school slapper. Why don't you just wear more appropriate clothes to school and save your tarty clothes for the weekends? In the end though, if you don't mind looking like a prostitute, wear what you want... you shouldn't care what other people think.

If your friends r telling u that your skirts are inappropriate they may be telling you the truth----if they r true friends. You can look beautiful without having to show off everything. As one of my good male friends said, "leave some room for the imagination"!!!!

I personally wear what ever i dam well please, but that doesn't mean i don't listen to what my friends have to say. infact i usually use their opinions mix it with my outlook and i get a better mix.
But then again maybe your skirts are too short (what is short or long anyways) maybe your giving a bad message to the public, i mean who really wants to be labeled easy. and offcourse theres more to a message then clothes. maybe you got an attitude too, maybe your struting your stuff! like the saying goes its not what you got its how you use it

Well probably, they just think you're dressing slutty. If you want to where short skirts then you do it! Be yourself! Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do what you want to! Even your friends.

They're jealous -- ignore them.
Boys like to see legs. Long. Shapely. Hairless.
Presumably your friends don't have nicely shaped legs or they're too lazy to shave them often enough to put them on show. They're afraid you'll get all the attention from the boys.
