First thing I would do is get a good lawyer and a good accountant.
Next I would pay off all of my and my partner's bills and set up trust funds for the kids.
Then I would buy some property and rent it out
Then I would start a home to save runaway kids from the street.

I'm not sure it would change me a whole lot. I'd pay off my parents debts, and build my mom a house. I'd set aside money for my younger siblings' college, as well as set aside some for myself to finish grad school.
Other than that, I'd definitely return to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and spend an entire summer backpacking across Europe.
Really....I think I'd just cry a whole lot, because I'd never have to worry about money again!

Probably buy enough property to ensure an income sufficient to look after my family.
The rest I'd put in a charitable fund managed by somebody else that anybody could apply to money for. The managers would have to assess each claim on it's merits and I wouldn't get involved in it at all.
Though I would save some for world travel and partying.

Make sure my son's college education was paid for,
allow my partner to go back to college for another degree so she can change careers,
ensure my parent's and my partner's parents retirements, ensure our own retirement,
Buy a new house
Buy two new cars (I'm not all that greedy)
INVEST for the future of myself and my partner as well as our son.
Donate to charitable causes I feel strongly about:
Diabetes (My partner's family is affected by this)
Epilepsy (My sister-in-law died from this)
AIDS research (Too many everywhere are still dieing from this)
The fight to stop Female Genital Mutilation (My heart bleeds for my sisters...I know...I'm a sap)
Live off my investment income...in the Lesbian Retirement Commune I'd start for my aging sisters!

I would pay off all my debts, buy a new car, and house. Then I would buy up properties in blighted areas and revitalize them.
