Kenneth Howard (September 7, 1929–September 19, 1992), also known as Dutch, Von Dutch or J.L. Bachs (Joe Lunch Box), was a motorcycle mechanic, eccentric, artist, pinstriper, metal fabricator, knifemaker, and gunsmith. His father, Wally Howard, was a well-respected Los Angeles sign painter and by the age of ten, the young Kenny Howard was able to paint and letter at a professional level.

I recently just checked inside my Spanish dictionary and there's no sign of the word von or van anywhere. So "von" isn't a Spanish word at all which is why no Spanish speaker on Earth who only speaks Spanish have ever heard of the word. That is because "von" is a German word rather than a Spanish word. "Von" is pronounced as "fon" with stress on the first syllable and a long vowel sound on the o, so it doesn't sound like the word phone pronounced as fon without the stress on the first letter of the word, and von is German for from, out of, by, of, or about. I guess that maybe you heard a word that was non-Spanish or maybe you just simply misspelled it on here.
