Buy some rooting hormone at the nursery and try it. I have never tried it but I bet you it will work. Use pencil-sized twigs. Leave two leaves on, but cut them in half or smaller to make the cuttings easier to handle and to help avoid moisture loss. Cut the bottom to insure that the last node (knuckle) is down below the level of your soil. Scrape off one strip of bark about 1/8th inch wide from either side of the the last 1" of the cutting, the part that will go into the soil. This may help it to callous; it does on cuttings from other species. Dip the cutting-tip in water, and then in rooting hormone powder. Shake off excess powder. Make a hole in the dirt with a pencil. Place the cutting in the hole and gently push the dirt up and into contact with the cutting. Use a big glass jar as a mini greenhouse to place over your cutting until it roots. Keep soil moist but not swampy.
