Much of Great Britain. The tradition of the 'stiff upper lip' prevents most Britons from displaying any emotion, even when in extremis.I will point out, here and now, that I am British.
As a chef, I have cooked countless meals of epicurean excellence, and seldom have I had any display of emotion about my grub from the British. I have had French people call me from my kitchen, ladle in hand,and have been embraced, kissed on both cheeks and thoroughly congratulated on my menage by these French people. Americans, being less effusive, have sent my waiters bearing currency notes to give to me and my brigade. Germans, on being served eisbein and sauerkraut, have called me to the bar, filled me with beer and slapped my back. The Japanese, having enjoyed my lightly-cooked whiting, have sent discreet notes in envelopes, to my kitchen, addressed to the chef. Persons of Asian origin, on eating my Palak Murgh (spiced chicken with spinach), have virtually invoked their Deities to look after me, but from the Brits, bugger all.
All that we Britons seem to do is grumble, or, at best, settle for mediocrity - "must'nt grumble, must we". By gum, we do miss out on a lot of fun.

Japan!!!! more so than any other Asians.... but yea, many of the Asian countries....
Several Japanese like to link themselmes with the UK sometimes because they say they share some things in common. Both are island nations and introversion comes with it.

the brits they are so stiff upper lips, that if aheavy stne landed on their foot, all you get is steady on there old man someone could get hurt, the ONLY time i say ONLY time you can get a very loud whinge is> when they are thrown into a bath full of hot soapy water, then you need to cover your ears!

most asians are, i jusst don't know if its cultures or the lack of confidence to speak the english languages fluently, so most of the time they just give you a impish smile.
