Yes. I have on several occasions. To a US serviceman returning to the US (picked up in Montreal, Quebec) to a couple returning to Nova Scotia from out west for a funeral (picked up in Quebec and drove them to Nova Scotia). But I think the best one was the "friend of a friend" I picked up in Nova Scotia returning home to Quebec City in 1992, She and I were married in 1994. (And still are)

No but me and my mom were driving down the road with our 2 rottweilers in the back seat of our car, and a hitch hiker was on the side of the road and he saw our dogs and put his thumb down. We thought it was pretty funny.

Hitch hiking is dangerous these days. Whether it be a crazed serial killer, or just 2 very fat friendly rottweilers in a small space.

I surely have executed this kind of great form of circumstances, yet after a pair of unsightly (inspite of the shown fact that no longer likely risky) stories, I won't do it now except i comprehend the hitch hiker - that's approximately in no way!

I still ocassionally do . Usuallly young freaky kids that are doing the same road trips today by thumb power that I did in 1969-72.
I know that there is a debt that I assumed that needs to be paid off and then passed on.
