Please don't take this offensive. For a class my Professor asked us all to write a speech. He gave us all topics and asked us to research them for our speech. My topic is on how alot of people don't stay in school and never go on to college because they dropped out of High School and I was hopeing to have some sort of a percentege on how many people have dropped out and not regretted it, how many people have dropped out and regretted it, and how many people haven't dropped out are glad they didn't (drop out). So can you guys tell me if you guys have dropped out and don't regret it, dropped out and regretted it, and didn't drop out and are glad you didn't (drop out). Please dom't take this personal I'm just taking a vote.

I hated school! I wanted to drop out so badly, but I didn't. I am a hairdresser now, but I could've gotten my ged for that. I am glad i didn't drop out for reason being that i have a son and it would be very hard to tell him to stay in school if I had of dropped out, and because now I realize at my age I learned all of that at that time for a reason. I needed to know those things to live and learn and then to wisen up and to grow up. So I am glad i graduated and didn't drop out!

I dropped out in the 9th. grade and do not regret it. I was not in a safe or proper mind set or situation to attend school at the time. Upon reaching a good space I got my G.E.D., aced the S.A.T. and have done a couple years of college. But I don't regret dropping out because it was just to difficult to deal with school when I was 15.I wasn't up to it but most people are. It's a very personal choice.

I HAD to drop out in my Junior year. I was in a terrible car accident and was out of school for 2 months. To far behind and unable to catch up. I have had no way of controlling what happened to me and was very sadened about it. The school system isn't prepared to for situations like that and it made my decisiion for me. :( I don't ever think that someone that drops out of school is genuinely wanting to....but forced by circumstance.
