Are you ungrateful for our Freedom's that troops gave us over the years and veterins over the years? There is an Anti War protest in Washington DC today. I have seen some of it and I am so outraged a child that is 12 years old speaks against the war and made her classmates sign an anti war petition. She doesn't know and understand why we are there in the first place. I say those that are the thousands in Washington at that protests are not Thanful to be an American and enjoy thier freedoms. Try and go to another country where you have have other laws against what you do you or listen to and worship and so on.

"why? What happens to them? Their lives will never be the same ~ and for what? This is America ~ We are already free. "

We are there to keep our Freedoms. Plus we won't get peace until Christ returns and the Anti Christ rules the earth.

Maybe she does know that this is an illegal spiteful war in which our brave troops and members of my family have been sacrificed for nothing but this dumba-ss presidents twisted ego.
We should have hit IRAN the real enemy of the free west.
But no. We put that tinpot dictator Saddam in power and he tried for 10 years to take out Iran for us, when we had them on the rails did we go in NO.
When we decided to act because of 9/11 did we go for the ideologists behind it, the Iranian elite, NO
We went for an ******. and made ourselves look stupid in front of the whole world.
Now because of that the Iranians are giving us the finger, and we have to sit and take it.
Because Bush has destroyed our credibility.
If you want to look for those who hate America, i suggest looking in the White House first.

You need to listen.

The vast majority of the protesters are protesting to protect the soldiers from this unjustified occupation and misguided war. Our brave soldiers are dying over there, and for what reason? Nearly all experts agree that it has made us, and the middle east, much less secure. Nothing has been gained from it. Saddam is gone, but will likely be replaced by warring religious fundamentalists. The strongest will eventually win, resulting in a racist theocratic dictatorship, or the nation of Iraq will fragment among races/religions. We can not force a democracy onto a country that is not ready for it.

I generally agree with your point about 12 year olds. But I hope you will also similarly appreciate that 12 year olds (and anyone younger) should also not be indoctrinated into religion.

Are You for real!...I'm Canadian and although I have not met with the horrors of which u speak, I am not illiterate to the facts of war....everyday we as Canadians and North Americans have to monitor every word and motion that we make in order to prevent the indication that we may be predjudice against whomever or whatever at the time. Its like pshcological warfair ....but your outrage towards a 12 year old child who speaks out against war because she longs for world peace, I find that a little disturbing. I would think that anyone would have the compassion to think that a child is entitled to such dreams.

First off Ms. Patriotic, explain why we are over there fighting in the first place? Don't give me that b/s of securing freedom either. Everyone on Yahoo knows Bush started this whole thing by looking for one person! Then there were weapons that still have never materialized. Since '02 this idiot has deemed it necessary to lie to the public and say things like "Mission Accomplished" and "We are winning the war in Iraq". He even tried to say that there was no civil war going on over there. Now, within the past 2 weeks since his regime is being put on the world stage for their lies....he wants America's help. Finally a system of checks and balances have been put on him and the U.S. now knows what the world already knew....Bush will forever remain a lying coward...he was a leader....a leader who lead his country straight to hell!

I am very grateful to be an American and for our freedoms. I am glad that you are grateful too. It is however to important to respect others point of view. Take a step back and think of the 12 year child getting her classmates to sign a petition. Maybe think of it in a different light. It could be a good thing that she is getting involved in important issues. She may change her mind as learns more and examines things from different perspectives. We all have opinions and some of us may even change our minds.

Well with freedom there's always conflict. And whose to say that the 12 year old doesn't know what she is talking about? Do you know her personally? Showing that she can speak out like that obviously means she is expressing her freedom. And with protests, some are very reasonable. Many try to gain rights, using their freedom so I don't think freedom is taking likely.
Besides freedom isn't a gift, everyday you have to work to sustain it.

Amen to that. A 12 year old child has not seen enough in her lifetime to be doing something like that, regardless of how bright she may be. This country is full of people who have never been anywhere but their own hometowns and states, and the assumption that life is terrible here is large. Personally, I despise it when I hear some stranger taking this country for granted, and I will not hesitate to give them an education on why we should be proud of what we have in this nation.

Hi! ~ Hello! ~ Most of my fellow troops also don't why they're there. As a matter of fact, I work in a hospital ~ an army hospital. And guess what I see e v e r y single day.....? Young, wounded soldiers: Men in their late teens and early twenties who have been severly burned, and missing limbs.... why? What happens to them? Their lives will never be the same ~ and for what? This is America ~ We are already free.

"Keep our freedoms"? ~ What are you talking about? Keep it from who? What outcome is expected from this? America is fine. People in Middle Eastern countries live in that chaos every day. That's how it is, and that's how its going to be.

We should not be at war with Iraq. It was started from a lie.
Why are we there? Let them kill themselves and leave our soldiers out of it. We are grateful for our freedom, THAT IS WHY WE CAN PROTEST.

"Try and go to another country where you have have other laws against what you do you or listen to and worship and so on."

You've missed the point, haven't you? Those people fought to give the freedom to say "We disagree". They didn't fight and die so that you could kowtow to the government and be led blindly like sheep.
