Life is too short not to be.
There are 5 of us, and I love all of them equally. I have one that's gone off the deep end, due to his mid-life crisis, and fled to China leaving me his "dung powl" but that doesn't make me not love him.
For those who waste way too many years not speaking to theirs because of some petty (or large) disagreement, you'll regret it when you're at the funeral.
Love your family like there's no tomorrow, and never look back.

My brother is 39, I'm 37 in 4 weeks.
We are adopted from different family's, so not blood brothers but brothers for all intense and purpose since age 6 weeks each.
He lives in and drives a lorry full time, I live in Nottingham England and travel the country for work full time.
We may speak on the phone every other month, for about 20 seconds, but more often if our mom or dad are ill.
His kids (he's divorced) are 16 and 13 and I speak to them once a year, maybe.
We meet only when the whole extended family get together, births/deaths etc, and all get along fine.
I blame myself, as I have never felt worthy of a family's love, not that I have done anything wrong to cause that, it's just how I feel.
For the same reason, I don't want kids, but the wife does, so I guess we will.
Good luck with your siblings.

I have two brothers and I am the oldest and I have always gotten along well with them. They may be taller than me but I think they both look up to me because they are always asking for advice. My middle brother even moved his family 100 miles to live across the street from me. We are very close.

I only have 2 brothers, and I'm not really friends with them. They're ok... but I wouldn't want to really hang out with them much... though this past week I did spend about 10 hours straight sitting with my brother playing a computer game. Sad stuff...

Not even close to them:haven't seen or heard from then over 30 years:hurray.
Bunch of bigots.
I chose not te be one:kicked all their sorry asses and behaviour out.And the rest followed soon.
So ,i can say:i have no family, coz it feels that way.
