I tried using two knives to pry it up but it didn't work. I also tried going under the sink to try to force it up. No go. Got any ideas??

If it is a metal stopper try grabbing the central handle with a pliers and pulling it up at an angle. If it is rubber or plastic, try a beer-can opener on one side to tip it and get it off from flat. If it moves work that around to all sides to wiggle it loose. If none of that works and it is a cheap rubber or plastic piece borrow a drill and make a central hole through it that you can put a big screwdriver in to tip it out.

You can remove the drain trap pipe and use a rod to go underneath the stopper to push it out.

You would have to buy a new one, but take a corkscrew to it.
