Bud, Not Buddy...

If you have read the novel, how would you construct a monologue with one charcter,? Which character, which scene would you choose?

Pleese help, i will be choosing a best answer.

I have written several monologues in various pieces. Since this is one character...by himself I am assuming. Make it a moment of persona reflection on an issue. Choose a common theme like lost love, or despair. Basically go for the emotional impact overall. Those are the best and most compelling ones. Hope this helps. : )

I read that book in elementary school-I don't remember anything except that Bud was adopted because his mom died and when he went to find him,he found his grandfather.
You could just go through Herman's mind,like the guy before me said.

Not sure what you mean by that, but I mean I'd like to see what was going on through Herman's mind when he found out Buddy was his grandson. So I think by going to what you said, when Herman was hysterically crying at the end, instead of putting "Herman cried", you put "I cried" and you pretend that you're Herman in the story.
