Baking soda! Boxes and boxes of baking soda. I'm telling you, this works. Also, you could secretly stash some fresh dryer sheets here and there. This really works and it's very cheap. All you have to do, for the baking soda, is buy the kind that you put in a refrigerator. Take off the seal, as you would for the fridge, and just place it in places where it'll go unnoticed by her. The Febreze thing is only temporary. You are only going to mask the odor. You want things that will absorb the smell! Also, make sure, when you can clean your toilet with that new blue Pine Sol. That stuff smells amazing for days on end. And, there are these toilet paper rolls that you can buy that are scented. We have one in our guest bathroom, and you can smell it from the hallway when the bathroom door is closed!
Burning candles works, but like I said, all you'll be doing is masking the odor. Good luck : )
P.S. If you're wondering where you could put the dryer sheets... you could put them under the couch and/or chair cushions, in between your mattress (and her's without her knowing!), and many other places that are hidden. You'll be amazed how well this works. Just remember to replace them every 5 to 7 days or so. Use the Bounce sheets..they are the strongest and last longest.

Febreeze works pretty well, but I prefer the Lysol product as it's actually a disinfectant. That will work for just the smell of the room and such, but honestly, you need to just get your roomie to take a daily shower. There's not much you can do to stop the smell except to clean up the source.

Personally, I dont' like those sprays including fabreeze. I really don't like the fragrance sprays and don't think they really work to get rid of the smells - just covers them up. I found a product that I've stayed with for years and recommend it to everyone who now love it. It's actually a little carbon odor absorber found in kitchen stores and kitchen gadget sections called FRIDGE IT. It is a little purple cube with a carbon filter inside that really, really works and for a long time. In a bigger room, I use several hidden around the room to get rid of musty and bad odors. Completely fragrance free. Of course, I also use these little things everywhere else including good enough to use in my refrigerator which used to really smell - but not anymore. I have been so pleased with this product and now use it under sinks, near trash, my RV, etc. I've tried other products including messy baking soda and they just do not work as well. Can buy in kitchen gadget sections of stores like Walmart and Linens and things. Maybe also on web? Worth trying. Really works.

febreeze does work well! sometimes it gives me a headache though and if sprayed too much, it could be a febreezeapalooza! lol i would suggest a tad bit for febreeze or maybe a spray that has little or no scent, yet gets rid of oders. or you could possibly try a light scented perfume that smells great! just use a perfume that you like and spray it all over her clothes, bags, bed and everywhere else while your roommate is not home. i really like Just Me, by Paris Hilton. I spray this one all over and it acts liek an air freshner. its scented enough to smell great, yet not overpowering. hope this helps!!

I'm not sure about the Febreeze but I agree with others when I think you should tell you roommate he/she has a problem. If the scent is so bad that you have to deodorize your home...that is a whole 'nother level...some people have really bad body order, chlorophyll works wonders but it can be expensive but I am sure it would be worth the investment not to offend the people around you...(provide the people around you let you know ;)

YES! Use it two or three times a day every day until it's gone. Use it one every fabric surface you can find. It will work.
You can also take the Glade Plug In refills and boil one for like 10 mins. Your whole house will smell good. If it is that bad, I would do both!

I feel for you, yes the smell will penetrate your clothes, furniture, everything in your home..if and when your room mate moves out you will still have her odour in your home..why does she smell?
someone has to talk to her..and I do not think it should be you, find a neutral person to speak to her and see if all in volved can trace the smell..she has to shower 2 times a day if it is body odour

A little Febreze goes along ways. I also like to use either the AirWick scented oil plug ins or bath and body works wallflowers. either one will help your room to smell better. Hope this helps.

Matters which are enormously strong in smell! Like cat piss! Eww!! And one time my friend had a dead mouse trapped in the back of his water mattress and we tried making use of Febreze on it to mask the scent til the exterminator bought there. Yeah, that did not work. It was so rank! I gagged!! Ew! Worst odor EVER!
