for instance if you have a truck with a camper shell and no slider window in cab of truck therefore you can not have access to booze if it is in back with passengers. why do chauffers get a special license but we can't . they could get out of there limo and open door and have access to the booze too. what is the difference.

Limo drivers are professionals, and often licensed specifically for the transport of people. Licensing is not required in most states, and open containers in the back are not allowed in some states.
A pickup bed cannot be compared to the back of a limo, as it is illegal to even ride in the back of trucks in most states.
The largest factor is obviously the distractions that the "drinking" passengers inevitably provide the driver. It is all too easy for a drunken idiot in the back seat to get a brilliant idea and reach up and grab the driver, causing an accident in the process. This is easily avoided with the limo driver being able to shut and lock the window that safely separates him from the drunken dolts in the back.

It boils down to the access that the driver COULD have to the alcohol. In a limo, the passenger compartment is seperated from the driver's compartment by a barrier, thus creating a seperate "room" in a normal car, there is no such separation.

A limo is not rated as a car and one must have a special license to drive a limo. This in turn puts limos into a different category.....called chauffeur.

I think it's the company they work for. I bet they have some sort of insurance they have that protects them from alcoholic chauffeurs.
