according to wikipedia, Joss Whedon, the creator of Angel, said Gunn dies, Spike becomes human, Angel loses an arm, and Xander loses his other eye. this should be treated as non-cannon however. Joss has also said he's done with Angel and Buffy but might be persuaded to do another show about other characters like Faith, or maybe even Spike.

No, it was cancelled. There have been talks of either a Spike or an Illyria movie. Although the only person known to survive is Illyria, as stated by Whedon and Amy Acker. Gunn, Spike, and Angel's fate are unknown. However, Joss and some of the old writers have gotten together to make a comic book season of Buffy, season 8. Maybe in time, they will do the same with a season 6 of Angel, in comic book form.

No Angel won't be back.It got cancelled along with Buffy.Joss Whedon didn't want to do anymore at that time.Which is why the ending was so open-ended.It was hoped a mini-series would be made later to tie up all the loose endings. As yet Joss can't get the financial backing to do this.Let's hope it does get made tho.Angel rocked!

No, apparently it was ment to be run for 7 seasons, but Fox decided to pull the plug and no other network picked it up. So they wrote the last season (5) to finish it off. I think it was really bad too, considering how Buffy ended there shoud have been hundreds of slayers helping with the fight. Never mind were never going to find out any more now

No. Wesley died from fight against the demon and Fred live to held Wesley in her arm when he was dying and he told her he love her from start. Angel live and with last of the team Gunn, Fred,Green guy and Angel's son to ready to fight against the demon whom has escape from wormhole they accident release the spell. Spike still alive as vampire. that was the end of the series, same as in Buffy aswell. so they run out of more ideal story to carrying on. So David now in new role of FBI agent in Bones, and it be on Sky one in Feb.

I don't think they will, but they end lots of shows that way, you know on the verge of an epic battle. Dark Angel ended similarly and left you hanging.
