How far is your PC from your wireless router? Further than your laptop is? Try using them both in the same place. If they speeds are still significantly different, then there's something between your router and your PC is causing the problem.

Check the access settings on both machines. Are they both the same (with different addresses, obviously).

Also, check your wireless access cards. Some are better than others. Check your aeriel is attached to your PC's card. Also, if your PC is hidden in a cupboard under your desk, this will limit your speed. Any wall or obstacle (or electronic equipment) between your PC and your wireless access point will affect your speed.

Ignore anyone who tells you your processor is a problem (the people above me). They're idiots. Unless your whole machine is running very very slowly (in which case it's not your CPU, but what you're running on it). If this is the case, modify your question to say so and I'll help you further.

There may be three reasons.

First, the internet setting on the computer.
secondly, the processor as u r thinking.
Thirdly, the server. The server may be down or slow.

AMD processors works fine with the Internet.

I don't know. I couln't come at a conclusion. But u can consult a good hardware engineer.
