Liverpool is a team for big games and they are ALWAYS dangerous against big teams like Barca, I wouldn't be surprise if they pass Barca but on the other side Barca always wins when victory is a must, so what ever happens in the first game, I'm 100% that in the second game Barca will give everything that they have and pass to the next round!!!!

well anything is possible. But for liverpool to win all 11 have to be on the top of their game. van der sar has to be almost perfect in the net and gerrard has to control the midfield which i think is near impossible against barca. plus peter crouch needs to go out their and play hard, which he only seems to do if theirs talk that he might be benched. we know kuyt will be solid. But we all know that anything is possible with liverpool (2005 comeback).

Lets not forget though by the time they play Barca will most likely have gotten eto'o back and maybe not in the first meeting but their is a chance messi will be back in the second.

overall barca is the more talented team, and has better chemistry liverpool can play very good but their pretty thin at every spot.

I say barca wins it

yes

as we have seen, liverpool thrive off being the underdogs. with juventus, ac milan, chelsea. all in the competition won in 05. when a team is considered 'beatable' i.e last year, they relax and dwindle.

the partnerships between, pennant, gerrard, kuyt and alonso have all been coming together of late and with carragher and reina both reaching their peak there is a real chance. finnan is solid as always and the riise and aurelio strategy that was employed against chelsea worked so well, it is encorouging.
bellamy will be used as a super sub, bringing on pace for the lanky target man crouch. also, with dismall cup performances and a shaky league challenge, this is the road to a successful season. will be a terrific encounter

no...
not unless they turn out their 2005 CL performance against Milan. Other than that no.. the Reds defense has to find a way to stop El Maestro's attack with Eto'o and Messi both expected to be back and hopefully in form.
