economically they are losing to China.
and they are losing the war to Iraq, an underdeveloped country when America has a huge technologic and economic advantage over them. They also lost the war to Vietnam which is little better than Iraq.
So what makes Americans think they are the most powerful nation?
Btw, I'm not bashing Americans I know they made great things like TV and computers so don't flame me, I'm just curious.

Americans aren't the only ones with nuclears Russia, North Korea, France and planty of other countries have nuclears.

Money and the way it's measured is not an indicator of superiority.
Visit China and tell me if you think they have a better lifestyle than the US.
There are more Chinese speaking people in the world than English speaking people, but visit Europe and see if someone at your hotel desk speaks Chinese They'll surely speak English.
As for Iraq, Iraq is a mess.
Trying to subdue Iraq through war is like punishing a fat child by locking him in a candy store.

It's expected for the US to lose, because the Iraqis are fighting on their own soil, besides, they're not afraid to die, and we see the Marines on TV with bottled water and packaged sandwiches, it makes you think that they'd make a fuss if their meal was a bit delayed.

Don't kid yourself for one moment, they are the most powerful nation in the world, when shove comes to push they have more weapons of mass destruction than you could even imagine, and when it comes to choosing sides, I for one will stick with the U.S. I'm not an American but I'm glad I'm on their side. If they wanted to they could make the middle East or Asia a wast land in a matter of minuts.
