how do i make a ferret hutch from scratch as i havent the money to buy 1 premade?

Look on ebay, they have nice ones, shipped for under $100.

Also, go around to your local pet stores, take a camera with you. They are usually just sheets of plastic coated wire, with ring type clips holding them together.

ALSO, go to yahoo and look up FREECYCLE then find the one in your area. Its a group where you can only give things away, one hundred percent free, locally. I bet if you join the group and ask for any type of ferret cage, you will find one! Mine only lets me list once a month, so you may have to ask twice, but who knows!?

Believe me its cheaper to buy one (go for a second hand one) than make a good strong one yourself. You need good quality timber and strong wire otherwise the ferret will be through it before you've turned you back;
