Hilton Head Is., SC is lovely. Beaches, tennis, golf, mini golf, sea kayaking, deep sea fishing, jet skiiing, etc., etc., etc. If your children are small, Shannon Tanner sings and entertains every Tuesday at Shelter Cove Harbour beginning in April. Plus, there are many great restaurants (both family-friendly and more intimate) on the island. Charleston is about 2 hours to the north, and Savannah is about 45 minutes to the south, so you can also get in some fun day trips. My family lives there and I highly recommend it! Good luck!

If you have kids I strongly recommend Florida. I went when I was 7 and again when I was 10 and really enjoyed it both times...Disney World etc. The temperature's great at that time of year too. Being 16 now though I don't think I'd like it as much. It really depends on what age they are. Lanzarote was great too. It would actually be good for all ages I think because there tends to be a lot of activities for tourists, including children. If you want something less pricey then I seem to remember that the Oasis Park was great - lot of family activities! I haven't been there for a long time though.
