I’ll tell you what always makes me laugh on here. When someone asks a “gay question” you get all these straight people who jump in to answer it. Then when a gay person says “well actually I’m gay and no it’s not really like that” the straight person gets rude and abusive. Why the hell do straight people think they’re more of an expert on homosexuality than gays? Should I be telling women how pregnancy and childbirth feels (laughable isn’t it). These people are bigoted, they’re the “know all, F all” types of this world. That’s why they never learn anything in life, because they think they already know it all.

I have always thought that people are born this way as sexuality is like a part of someone's personality and no one can choose what sexuality they are.
I think it is only out of ignorance that certain people think that people can be 'turned'.
When my boyfriend was younger (and a bit innocent and naive. he has grown up a lot since then) he asked a gay man who he worked with 'whether he ever woke up in the morning and forgot he was gay' and the man replied 'do you ever wake up in the morning and forget you are straight'.

This question is asked here at least ten times a week, and you will get the same answers all the time. yes we are and now we choose to be. So it just depends on who answers the question.preferably i wasn't into boys till i was 14, then i knew i was gay , when i was born i was too young to figure it out .

To be honest I think you have hit the nail on the head as to whether this seemingly never ending argument of nature of nurture goes on. People have this 'fear' of young people being talked into awful things and this 'fear' covers a multitude of sins from really serious offences to just things that people don't understand or don't want to understand.
The short of it is, alot of who we are as people is a mixture of nurture and nature. Really I think it is as simple as that. The feelings and emotions and actions I experience have never been forced on me or gained through secret meetings in dark alleyways! Yes some of me becoming a better person and accepting who I am more fully might be through social experiences (nurture), but the innate reactions I get towards the strong relationships I form are purely natural!

Yes, people can be born gay, the reason they do not realize they are gay at first is they didn't know, didn't come out of the closet, things can not make people gay, it may mean that the thing just made them realize they were gay.

No, people make choices in their lives. Whom they have sex with is one of those choices.
My wife became gay after 10 years of marriage and two kids. She tell our kids that it was a choice she made.
My stepdaughter was gay in high school. She abandoned that lifestyle after about 6 years. She said it is clearly a choice she made.
Think about this. Why do people smoke? Were they born that way? Is it true that overweight people were born with these traits.? Probably, but even so the smoker can quit and the overweight can diet. We can modify our behavior if we choose.
Sometimes I think that "born like that" is an easy excuse so you don't have to justify your actions and for parents of gay kids, it's a good excuse so that don't blame themselves for doing a bad job as a parent.

yes people who are gay are born that way. some unedjucated people say that they become gay from obsurd reasons but they don't know any better. I beileve that orientation can change slightly overtime, but not a dramatic change like from completely straight to completely gay or vice versa

Yes, they are. My cousin as a baby , a toddler and child only played with dolls and girlie stuff, loved being with girls until he reached the age of 16 and started showing an interest in the same sex. He has been with his partner for 5 years and they are happy and i wish them well.

I think people are born with no specific orientation,
i belive information is collected in your sub-consious during your pre-pubecent(sp?) years, then it sums up and you have a preference. (this includes fetish's etc)
Because , if you think about it, to straight males, breasts is a common fetish, now imagine there was no such thing as "breasts"
would you have a liking for them ?
And i belive you can relate that on how people's sexuallity is determined.
Its hard to fit it in though there are so many complications to it,
I am currently thinking over wither i am bi-sexual or not, but i dont think i was born with bisexual tendences.
It must have just developed in my head, and im discovering more of my subconsious every time.
Just my opinion but i could be wrong.

the road of life that makes them unhappy.
