I would hope that an ideal husband would be one that does not have the "king of the castle" complex, but instead sees a marriage as a team. Like two oxen that are equally yoked. Meaning this: Both have to work together as a team in order to move forward...one should not be pulling the other's weight, or else they will go no where fast. Hope this helps. ; )

A husband is for what it says in the marriage vows. When a woman gets married, she is really electing a man to be LEADER of the home, and this is not to say that she can't correct him when he's wrong.
There is really no reason for a woman to get married, if she wants to remain independent, like a feminist. However, it's nice to be wife and a mother.
Most people don't understand this, however.

Companionship. Having someone on your side all the time - someone who always has your back. Someone to laugh with, talk with, joke with, be silly with, hold you when you need to be held, and comfort when they need to be held. Someone you can totally be yourself with, share your opinions with, and not worry about being judgemental about you. Someone you can trust completely, and who makes you feel like you want to be a better person for them. And more.
