I would say yes, if it is an inanimate object, such as a sofa, a table, etc. I wouldn't recommend getting rid family members! But in my house, we used to have an old lamp that my aunt had given us. It was big, brown, old fashioned, and just down right ugly. It didn't really give off a lot of light, and where it was positioned in the room, it just made it depressing in there. After so many years of it sitting there, someone had the courage to tell mom that it was ugly and depressing to look at, and then everyone else joined in the complaints....even mom! She eventually threw it out, put a nice white one in its place, and now, no one ever complains about the lighting in that room. So yeah, inanimate things, if you don't like them, why keep them? I'm sorry we waited as long as we did!

Well if its a material object and it can be used by someone else I would suggest the goodwill. If it is a human I wouldn't suggest throwing them out, but letting them know things are not working and they need to go. If you throw them they could get injured and get a law suit! LOL Good Luck! Just be sure before you make your final decision.

I think you should talk to her first. Maybe she is really depressed and is in need of some help. Be loving and kind. You would want her to do the same for you, right?
