As a retired soldier, seperate rations is given to the sol-
dier to offset meal costs if he lives outside the barracks,
Baq with dependent is a pay given to the soldier who
lives off base to help support his dependents for the
costs of living off base. However maybe laws have chang-
ed and the best place to find out is JAG office on a
military base as they have all the up-dated regulations
on rules and changes of pays to a soldier other than
his basic pay which is based solely on his or her rank.
As for the soldier not giving the wife any of the seperate
rations pay it is not illegal but if he is getting paid for
support of a dependent and that dependent no longer
lives with him that is illegal, contact JAG and inform them
of the situation and they will make sure any unauthorized
pay to him will be stopped.Good luck NOTE. JAG stands
for JUDGE ADVOCATE GENERAL.

Interesting he is married he gets BAQ which he would only get if he was married, i would contact the family advocate and address this with them. And if i didn't get no satisfaction through them i would contact his COMMANDING OFFICER and let his CO deal with him. I was married to a military man for 17 years i know how it works.

Separate rations are an allowance they give as an alternative to eating in the mess hall. If he was to eat in the mess hall he would have to pay for the meal. It isn't part of a pay package.

The easiest way and best way o put him under some heat is to go over to his Commanding Officer, not his direct NCOIC because they will try to cover it. But, go to his CPT, and make sure you tell him you are willing to escalate it through his chain of command.

No, it is not. Contact his commanding officer... CO . What a surprise he will be in for. He can get in tons of trouble for that.

She should contact the base commander, and let him know what is going on.I really don't think the commander will see the humor in this.

Sounds like he can be sued. Contact a lawyer regarding your rights.
