I have been on birth control (Ortho TriCyclyn) for 21/22 days when this mishap happened. I have never missed a pill and always took it at the same time each day. Along with the pill I also use spermicide and condoms. On the 19th the condom slipped off and he ejaculated in me. I freaked out and 20 minutes later used Plan B that I had. I took the first dose at 12:26am then the second dose at 12:26pm the next day. On the same day I took the second dose of Plan B I also took my regular pill at 6:00pm. I was supposed to get my period on Sunday( 1/21) but as of today Saturday (1/27) nothing. I took a First Response early detection pregnancy test along with numerous others and all negative. I have been so stressed out that I can't eat and crying all the time at the thought of maybe being pregnant. Should I worry or is all the pills that I took along with the stress throwing my period off?

One has to wonder why a seemingly intelligent young woman is so terrified of being pregnant. I have to agree with the person who said that you should deal with the issues you have regarding pregnancy before you continue to have sex.
Using birth control is one thing but the fact that you use birth control pills AND spermicide AND condoms seems obsessive. Do you have some physical problem that would make pregnancy life threatening? If so it would seem that sterilization would be a better way to deal with this problem. Then you could relax.
Think of what you are doing to your body with all these hormones. Just because the condom broke you did not need to use anything. You are on the pill. The condom is there to prevent STD;s , not to keep you from getting pregnant, the pill does that. Didn't anyone ever take the time to explain to you that you cannot ovulate or get pregnant if you take the pill properly? Why are you doing this to yourself? It sounds like you had "Plan B" all ready and waiting. You have to know that this is not normal behavior.
Is it really worth it to have sex and put yourself through all of this? Why are you crying? Why can't you eat? How on earth do you think that you could be pregnant? You do NOT ovulate when you are on the pill. As long as you had taken at least 7 pills you are protected. No egg, no baby. It is that simple.
Stop stressing yourself out! You need therapy, NOT more birth control! Give yourself a break from sex and some time to relax!
I really feel awful for you. Please talk to someone who cares about you. This can not be good for you.

Plan B has a very high sucess rate, and stress can delay your period.
relax and good luck

To Lady Trinity,
Drs advise that an alternate form of birth control is used during the frist 30 days of taking the pills. Most condoms contain a spermicide. I do wonder how she had the morning after pill just lying around. Unless it is now given in the states with out a prescription

It's probably because of all the stress and the pills. You are not pregnant. It would be virtually impossible, considering how many pills you've taken recently. Your period is already late, just take a test, so you give yourself that reassurance. Also, you seem really nervous about sex and the consequences. Maybe you need to hold off on sex until you mature a little bit more or get in a better place in your life.

The pills should have taken effect and you should be fine. However you being so stressed could cause your period to be off. First Response(early detection) are normaly accurate and if it says that you are not pregnant then high chances are that your not. Breathe honey..stop stressing, and your body will go back to the normal way u know it as.

It is probably the stress that messed up your period, Wait a weak or two and if your period still has not come then contact your ob and ask to get a prego test via blood that is the most accurate way to do it . don't stress anymore it will mess with your flow .
