heavey period pain?

what's the best thing u can take or do to remove ur period heavey pain?

I get extremely severe heavy pain first day of my period. I get it so bad that I throw up, cant get outta bed, get dizzy, fever, chills, and i cant even sleep because the pain is just horrible. it sucks. I've tried everything from midol, tylenol, hot baths, tea remedies, going to the doctor, etc. None of those ever worked for me. So I use Vicodin (you cant get it over the counter though) but trust me, it really does get rid of the pain and it relaxes you too so you are actually able to sleep.

If you're looking for something over-the-counter, try ibuprofen (Motrin). Double up the dose. It takes a while to work, but it's the best thing I've found for severe cramping.

I used to have extreme pain during my periods. I would frequently pass out suddenly. The only thing that made it better was when I had my baby. All back to normal now. :)

a hot water bottle or heat patch, take some pain killers and try and do some light walking if you don't feel up to that then rest is the best bet

I would talk to your doctor about birth control. I used to have really bad cramps, heavy bleeding, and it would last for a week. My doctor put me on birth control and it really helped out. It may take a couple of months for your body to start working with it. But, it is worth it. Until then, heating pads, and lots of Midol!!!

I use pamprin and it works really quick. its great. try using a heating pad while the medicine kicks in, or a hot water bottle .
