they don't get paid to have UNICEF, on there shirt , they actually pay UNICEF

They are still 'sponsorless'. UNICEF is not their sponsor.In this way, Barcelona promotes Unicef and influences people to help others in the same way as Unicef does...I think their fans love this club even more after this. I know that I do...

i think that having UNICEF on the shirt, rather then a sponsor, was the best idea they could have. i just wish that all the pro teams in the world would do the same, well at least the ones that can afford it, because i mean they so much money in one season, and i think that they should try to help organizations like UNICEF instead of promoting alcoholic drinks and things of that nature.

as noted, they donate money to UNICEF unlike any other club in Europe which is one of the reasons I love the club. They've always resisted the capitalistic motivation to try to earn big bucks. But hey its not like they need it!

Chelsea had to "lose" the Emirates logo when they played in Israel. Some Eastern European clubs are without sponsorship. Weirdest must have been one Eastern European club who had individual shirt sponsorship for all of their players in a UEFA qualifier in 2001ish.
