This is so true. Most documentaries have a hidden agenda, which they will subversively put across. People DO get brainwashed by such documentaries without realising it.
The BBC are particularly reknowned (and competent too) for doing this.

I've just watched a documentary on the BBC about Hadrian's Wall. Now there can be no brainwashing in something like that, or in one that is on shortly about Wildebeest migrating across the Masai Mara and Serengeti. In fact, most documentaries are on innocuous factual subjects like that, made by people who are passionate about their subject in an attempt to entertain, inform and educate others. Or is that wrong? As others have said you do need to be far more specific about the documentaries to which you refer if you want any more considered answers
