When I read the web site of Sun, I feel it is very useful. But when I look at the advertisements for jobs, it is not mentioned. So there is no guarantee of work but it should be better than diplomas from the teaching shops.

Being an ec engn i dont think you have oop techniques on your syllabus. you need to start from scratch. Use the completed reference for java2 great e book. Makes you thorough with the techniques of oop. For novices you additionally can decide for Khalid Mughal. attempt giving mock try coz i dont think they supply refunds in case you fail the tests.
