I doubt it. Most likely, you have dirt or something inside the keyboard. My suggestion would be to borrow a friend's keyboard for a day or so, and see if their's does the same thing. If it doesn't, then you just need a new keyboard. If their's does the same thing however, then you'll want to have your computer checked out.

No, that is a hardware problem.......your keyboard!
Some keyboards are cheap and with the time the keys start to do that.

It could be also that if you're a girl and loose alot of hair, or an old man like me with my hair falling all the time, and either way we drop alot of hair, some of that hair end up under the keyboard keys and mess up the well-functioning of those keys. I'm saying this because for years I had that problem, you would be surprised when I took all the keys off a keyboard how much hair I found down there....hahahaha. :)

Try to very carefully take those faulty keys off and see if there is hair down there, clean it well, put that key cap back and see if it works better.

If not, just buy another keyboard, a few months ago I bought a wireless keyboard and mouse for just $20 at CompUSA, and now it's sitting there on the floor somewhere, they don't cost much these days anyway. :p

I hope this helped.

Been eating over the keyboard again eh? (grin)

Two solutions to this one is easy and the other is maybe

EASY: go buy a new keyboard.. (go WIRELESS if you haven't. It is great to get rid of that cord.) you have a common hardware problem of something jammed in there or a bridge support has failed . Even basic keyboards will cost you less then $10 so its a simple fix. The wireless ones range from $15 on sale sometimes at stores like Frys to about $60 (with wireless mouse included too).

MAYBE: unplug it.. turn it upside and shake the heck out of it. Bang the edge of it on a table or something and watch all the cr*p fall out. You can also use your vacume to try to suck out what ever may be in there.

If that doesnt work try the ultimate... I put mine in the dishwasher for a couple of cycles and then let it dry for a week, shaking it every day or so. Then, when it is completely dry plug it in. If it still doesnt work toss it its gone for good.

I have the same problem with my keyboard but, i know why my certain keys won't work & that's due to my being slob & a clutch while drinking water over the keyboard. i accidentally spilled some on it & i tried my best to dry & clean it but still no luck. I still can not get about - keys to work so I use the other ones on keyboard but, i know it's time to pull out the ole pocketbook and but a new one.

Probably not a software issue. You will most likely need to replace your keyboard, just take it in to a computer type store where someone can plug it in and test it. They can determine if it will need to be replaced. Keyboards aren't very expensive anymore in fact I just saw one last week for around 20.00 Good Luck>
